Time through a feminine lens: a journey into the heart of luxury watchmaking
Over twenty years ago, being assigned articles on manufactures and their timepieces during an editorial meeting sparked an unexpected passion. Coming from a generation that witnessed the rise of Japanese quartz watches and the Swiss renaissance with Swatch, I never imagined that these complex and sophisticated mechanical objects would become a true obsession. This passion has led me from the marathons of Baselworld (until its end in 2019) to the intense days of Watches and Wonders and Geneva Watch Days.

Times have changed, and so has women's watchmaking. Historically limited to miniature masculine versions or floral decorations, the industry marked a turning point with dedicated complications, such as the Margot watch by Christophe Claret in 2014. Today, in the era of auctions and the pre-owned market, luxury watches represent not only a passion-driven purchase but also a potentially profitable investment.
My goal is to demystify the fascinating world of timepieces and make it accessible to all women, so they can invest to pass on (heritage). I explore this constantly evolving universe for you: from timeless novelties to the most sought-after pieces, including the feminine icons shaping the market.

As a journalist specializing in Haute Horlogerie since 2001 and an expert on the Indian market since 2009, I am well-versed in the specific expectations of Indian female consumers: a desire for prestige watches that blend heritage, innovation, craftsmanship, and exclusivity. To meet this growing interest, we launched "Happy Hour India" in September 2025. This publication is specifically designed to address the needs and interests of Indian watch enthusiasts. This watch magazine will be available via subscription and will offer video conferencing for horological advice.

Coming from a generation that wore Japanese quartz watches in the 80s and witnessed the renaissance of the Swiss watch industry with Swatch, I never imagined for a second that a new passion would be born within me! I couldn't believe that these small, complicated mechanical objects would fascinate me more and more, year after year.
Back then, I never thought that watches would lead me through endless marathons at Baselworld (until its end in 2019) or through such intense days at the SIHH (now Watches and Wonders), Time to Watches, and Geneva Watch Days.
In the beginning, the women's watch market was limited to men's models made smaller, or the addition of a few gemstones and floral decorations. But over the years, times have changed! In 2014, Christophe Claret created a complication specifically for women: the Margot watch.
In this era of auctions and the pre-owned market, luxury watches represent a passion-driven purchase that can also prove to be a profitable investment. “My goal is to demystify the fascinating world of timepieces and make it accessible to all women who wish to learn more about the subject.”
